Particularly with regard to threading (drills and molds), it is very important to have a low and even torque behaviour right from the start, so that a connected torque monitoring system has no problem in detecting the tool wear, thus minimizing the risk of threading that are not true to gauge size and even tool breakage.
Therefore, the production of a coating on a tap is not comparable with the production of other tools. The design and structure of the customer-specific tap coating must be processed with corresponding precision.
